Internship Details

During his internship, Shashaani developed autonomous optimization workflows leveraging Python and statistical models for fabricating perovskite thin films in photovoltaic applications. He also:

  • Engineered machine vision pipelines using CNNs (VGG19, ResNet, OpenCV, U-Net) to enable real-time analysis of coated films.
  • Applied Bayesian Optimization strategies to drive closed-loop experimentation and maximize composite film quality scores, with established key performance metrics.
  • Conducted multifactorial DOE studies to evaluate and model photoluminescence (PL) variability across fabrication parameters for robust statistical analysis.
  • Integrated data pipelines from spectroscopic tools (UV-Vis, PL) and image-based classification systems to streamline data acquisition and support actionable insights.
