IMSE is proud to have a dedicated group of alumni who actively support our growth and success. Beyond that, our alumni have made a meaningful impact on the world, shaping the ways we live, work, and play. They have achieved great success and brought distinction to both themselves and the department. In every sense, they truly are our distinguished alumni.

Alumni Resources Program

IMSE, in partnership with the ISE Department, has launched the Alumni Resources Program to support you throughout your career. This program offers a variety of resources, including:

Joining the ISE/OR/IMSE/MEM Alumni LinkedIn Group to connect with over 1,550 NC State alumni, faculty and students.

Accessing the NC State online library to use the same valuable resources available during your studies.

Exploring the Engagement Program’s ISE and IMSE Job Board for career opportunities.

Enhancing your skills with a collection of Online Certifications and Professional Learning to gain a competitive edge.

Updating your Contact Information

NC State’s Alumni Association aims to help the university keep accurate records of alumni. A dedicated records staff maintains a confidential database of alumni information. These records also enable the creation of contact lists, helping our department stay connected with alumni.

This building brought the College together on Centennial Campus through a special partnership. With half the $150 million funding from North Carolina voters and the rest from private donations, NC State completed this 227,000-square-foot building.

Named after key supporters (Edward P. Fitts, Jr. (ISE ‘61), his wife, Debra, Edgar S. Woolard, Jr. (ISE ‘56), and his wife, Peggy), Fitts-Woolard Hall symbolizes the dedication of alumni and friends in advancing the College’s mission. This facility is an innovation center that promotes interdisciplinary research and industry collaboration.

GIVING

Every gift to IMSE helps our students and faculty achieve their goals while making a meaningful impact. The IMSE Enhancement Fund meets one of the program’s most critical needs: discretionary support. Each year, we navigate challenges from shifting and uncertain resources. Your contributions can fund scholarships, fellowships, professorships, academic programs, and faculty research—areas often not covered by state appropriations. Your generosity enables IMSE to excel in its mission of research, teaching, and public engagement.
