Who should I talk to about my registration, etc.?

When does preregistration advising begin, and how do I get advised?
- Refer to the university registration calendar for official dates at https://studentservices.ncsu.edu/calendars/.
- If you are a new student, contact the IMSE director, Michael Kay, at [email protected]. If you are unsure of who your advisor is, contact the IMSE program coordinator, Bill Irwin, at [email protected] or 919.515.3808.
Can my IMSE advisor help me get into non-IMSE courses?
No, only administrators from the department offering the course can add or remove you from classes in that department.

Holds
I have an advising hold on my account. How do I get it removed?
- Prepare the necessary advising paperwork as directed, the Academic Advisement Form.
- You must see your advisor for the advisement term hold to be released.
